Selanjutnya pada 2018, resolusi Majelis Kesehatan Dunia mengesahkan WBW sebagai strategi promosi menyusui yang Pekan ASI Sedunia merupakan salah satu kampanye bersama yang dilakukan oleh WHO dan UNICEF. Melalui peringatan ini, WHO merekomendasikan para ibu untuk menyusui anaknya hingga berusia dua tahun.
